Reciprocal Teaching is a method to help children improve their reading comprehension (more). In RT training sessions, children take turns in small groups leading discussions over short passages of material from their texts. To help them understand the material and lead the discussions, they are taught to pose questions about and clarify the material, summarize the passage and predict the content of subsequent material. (For more, listen to class lecture, and see the class handouts on reciprocal teaching.) |
