Eight Week of Instruction (2/23, 25)

Little is different this week from last except that it is shorter and so there are only two new problem sets distributed (2/23, 2/25). We have our orientation period. This week instead of volunteers and just a few students offer ideas I had every student contribute and everyone was able to add something to the discussion. The groups are even more fluid. They are now always animated and routinely most of the class is oblivious to the time and goes past the end of the period. To the relief of the students I announce that a project will not be due but they do need to continue turning in their work and not think that they can take this course for granted so as to devote more time to their other classes.
