Excerpt:
This project documents John Elfrank's teaching of "Participation in Government," a semester long non-regents class for seniors at Murry Bergtraum High School.Elfrank is an activist and aims to teach his students to participate as citizens in their society. The class meets mostly in the school computer lab. They use an online environment (created by Elfrank) with the daily assignments, lesson agendas, tools for administration, links to readings and other resources, and tools for collaboration and sharing work.
