Here teachers are working through how to compose various word problems that align with the different ways to think about addition and subtraction. It is somewhat tricky at first to become comfortable at thinking problem situations for three different concpets of addition and then tansitioning to a two companion subtraction problems for each. Below are clips from the first day we attempted it at a first grade collaboration meeting.
